A tragic jostling near the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru during the very first celebration of the IPL Victory of Royal Challengers Bengaluru left more than 50 wounded fans on Wednesday and eight people feared dead. The incident occurred while the fans met to celebrate the Victoire of the RCB IPL 2025 Trophy.The jostling occurred when thousands of fans tried to rush into the stadium through various doors simultaneously. The police had to transport the wounded to the ambulances and move them to the neighboring Bowring hospital.Authorities have confirmed that two bodies are at Bowring hospital and four at Vaidehi hospital. Six people receive treatment in intensive care at Vaidehi hospital, with three other admitted intensive care. Sources have confirmed two additional deaths.

The emergency response was hampered while ambulances had trouble navigating overcrowded roads to reach hospitals.The Karnataka government had previously canceled Vidhana Soudha’s victory for the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium due to security problems.“Incredible! It is dishonored, inhuman and impulsive.The incident sparked many criticisms on social networks, people wondering why celebrations continued while people were fighting for their lives outside the stadium.
