While the Babar Azam flop show continues, the former Pakistani captain Zaheer Abbas suggested that the star striker asks the help of senior players. While speaking of the bad form of Babar, Zaheer said that the striker had an ego problem where he is too shy to ask his elders to ask his elders. “I have this impression that Babar has an ego problem or is too shy to seek advice from his elders to overcome his current situation,” Zaheer said in Cricket Pakistan.
Zaheer also shared an incident from the past. He said that former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin had once approached him to get a stick help.
“I remember very well the way in which the former Indian drummer Azharuddin had asked me for advice during the tour of India in Pakistan in 1989-1990. He had trouble finding races and I told him to change his striker. It really helped him find confidence and improve his performance,” said Zaheer.
By focusing on the Babar technique, the old Pakistani skipper observed: “I noticed that Babar’s licensees in recent times have made him go in his blows, which clearly shows that he does not find time to adapt to the fold.”
Meanwhile, Rashid Latif, who is also a former Pakistani captain, said that Babar could not find himself due to the absence of “good mentor or strike coach” in the team.
“When you are under pressure, you have to find a way to get out of the situation, but Babar could not make your way. Unfortunately, there is no appropriate mentor or a hoax coach in the locker room to guide him. Babar must find a way to get out of the situation itself. He must evolve,” said latif.
