New York Yankees restored the right -handed Luke Weaver on the 15 -day injured list Friday before the opening of a three -game home series against Baltimore Orioles.
Weaver, 31, has been released since he held his left hamstrings while warming up to participate in a game on June 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Taking control of the role more closely this season, Weaver is 1-1 with eight stops and an MPM of 1.05 in 24 appearances this season. In 10 seasons of major leagues with six different clubs, Weaver is 35-46 with an MPM of 4.71 in 230 appearances (106 departures).
With the original of Devin Williams, many have improved since Weaver broke down, marking four stops since June 3, manager Aaron Boone will be left to settle the roles of the statement enclosure.
Weaver occupies the Gaucher Jayvien Sandridge’s list, which was optionized Thursday in Triple-A Scrancan / Wilkes-Barre.
