Former England captain Michael Atherton pulled the royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) coach and mentor Dinesh KarthikThe leg of his long discussion with the faithful Indian Virat Kohli in the final of the Indian League (IPL) 2025 against Punjab Kings (PBKS).
The counter was seen converse with Kohli in a strategic expiration time, but the advice seemed to have little effect, because Kohli was rejected in the next one. Asked at the time, Karthik laughed and tried to get around the question.
“Before the final, I had the feeling that if RCB became victorious, you would be the one at the front, holding the trophy, and that’s exactly how it was played. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was in the back, but you have always won the trophy,” said Atherton.
“Then, in this final, something caught my attention. During a strategic break, you spent a lot of time talking to Virat Kohli while he was in the fold. I noticed that you made a gesture for a while, and in the following, he was dismissed. What exactly did you say? ” Atherton asked Sky Sports.

Karthik pointed out that he did not want to put himself in danger by giving the wrong answer.
“This is probably the most difficult question I have never been asked about a podcast. At least, I can manage the first part. But for the second, I try to think carefully, without putting myself in danger by giving the wrong answer,” replied Karthik.
The former captain of England Nasser Hussain also had his moment when Karthik struggled to answer the question. Atherton added by noting that nothing can be said to a legendary paste like Kohli.
“I think this is the first time that I have seen you speechless. You say nothing,” said Hussain.
“I was just wondering, what could this man say to say one of the greatest strikers in the history of cricket? What advice would he offer him?
