Team India Prithvi Shaw’s cricket player has opened a difficult phase of his career, notably invented in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Mega Auctions. Shaw also admitted that he had made many wrong decisions in his life, and off -range distractions led to a drop in his interest in cricket.
Prithvi was once considered one of the most promising young talents in India. He decided to separate from Mumbai and is preparing to join another state team. The Mumbai Cricket Association Association would have issued him a certificate of non-objection (NOC) before the next inner season.

In an interview with News24 Sports, Prithvi Shaw admitted that bad choices and off -scope distractions affected his game. Shaw revealed that he spent most of his day on the field before starting to surround himself with bad people.

“Only, I know what happened. I made many wrong decisions in my life. I feel like I started to give less time to the cricket. Earlier, I used to beat in the nets for three to four hours, and half of my day had gone to the ground until 2023,” said Shaw.
“After that, I started to consider things that were not so important. I made bad friends who started to take myself here and there. I was distracted during this period,” he added.

The 25 -year -old striker said that he had decided to distance himself from certain friends and make important lifestyle changes. Shaw also expressed his frustration in the face of the perception of the public, saying that even a simple outing like a family dinner is misinterpreted.
“I left everything, like friendships and a lot, apart from it. I don’t even like to get out of all these days.

In the same interview, Prithvi Shaw spoke of his weight and added that he had never stopped training, but his lack of food control resulted in weight gain. Shaw admitted that his eating habits have had an impact on his physical form.
“I am a big gourmet. So, I had no control on this subject. It was not as if I did not train, but I had no control over my food. The amount of food I ate was more, and then I went to sleep just after eating. In addition, my immune system was such that if I did not train for a while,” said Shaw.
Prithvi Shaw played for India in five tests, six ODI and a T20i. He scored 134 points when he started testing against the Antilles in 2018.
Shaw was abandoned by Mumbai Ranji trophy Squad of the interior season of 2024-25 after only two games due to fitness problems. It was also excluded from the Vijay Hazare trophy team by selectors.
The striker scored 197 points in nine rounds at a typing rate of 156.34 during the Syed Mushtaq trophy AliCompleting as the third highest big scorer in Mumbai in their winning campaign of the title. He played the competitive cricket for the last time in the Mumbai T20 League 2025.
