Two teams that have their main quarters in difficulty and only one combined victory this season is displayed on Sunday evening when the Argonauts de Toronto visit the Ottawa Redblacks.

During the last week’s injuries report, the Argonauts announced that the most remarkable player of 2023, Chad Kelly, would not make his debut in season. Kelly broke the tibia and the perony of his right leg last November during the final is in Montreal and missed the victorious competition of the Gray Cup of the following week on the Winnipeg blue bombers.

“Certainly not this week, certainly not next week. I hope (Kelly will return) after Bye,” said Argonauts coach Ryan Dinwiddie in TSN. “He improves but he is not quite there all strength to be able to protect himself in his pocket. You never know with these things – it could take a little more time, then the following week, he could be back.”

Kelly was a participant in limited training on Wednesday, but missed training on Thursday and Friday.

The Argonauts (0-3) went to the wrong start and the defeat of 39-32 from last week against the Saskatchewan Roughriders was bitter. After Toronto equaled the match with 23 seconds to play, Mario Alford de la Saskatchewan returned the kick -off of 99 yards for a touchdown.

The Argos ranks in the last rank of the score offensive (20.3 points per game) and the total offensive (306.7 yards per game).

Nick Arbuckle started the first three games of the Argonauts and leads the LCF with 841 yards, but also launched the most interceptions (five). The most remarkable player in the Gray Cup last year has four Touché passes.

Meanwhile, the quarter-back from Ottawa, Dru Brown (Hip), missed the last two games, was limited in practice all week and was declared for the competition on Saturday. Dustin Crum is ready to start for the second consecutive week.

Crum only succeeded 9 out of 22 for 111 yards and a touchdown, but he helped the Redblacks (1-2) to a 20-12 victory on the Calgary Stampeders.

“We always ask everyone more about it,” said Ottawa coach Bob Dyce. “But we were very satisfied with what Dustin did. I thought he had a great mastery of the offense.”

Ottawa ranks seventh in the score (21.3) and eighth in total offense (327.3).
