The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) began the overhaul on the side after a disappointing IPL 2025 season. The former New Zealand bowling player James Franklin was the first to lose his job with the Sunrisers Hyderabad before the next edition of the IPL.
On Monday, July 14, the SRH welcomed the former Indian stimulator Varun Aaron in its coache staff before the 2026 IPL. James Franklin showed the door while Varun Aaron joined the Orange army as a new bowling coach for next season.

Aaron, who was known for his raw rhythm and his assault during his days of play, will now guide SRH quisters. The franchise welcomed the old Indian stimulator by calling it a “fiery addition” to their configuration. With its experience in domestic and international cricket, the SRH hopes that Varun will bring fresh energy and net strategies to the team bowling unit in IPL 2026.

Varun Aaron India and the internal career in number
Meanwhile, Varun Aaron represented India in 9 games of 9 and 9 Odi and sculpted 18 and 11 counters, respectively. However, the cricket player born in Jharkhand had an impressive career in national cricket. The former Pace has 173 counters and 837 points in 66 first class games in his name.
In addition, Varun broke out 141 counters and scored 326 points in 88 List-A games. He also has a decent number in the T20 cricket, taking 93 counters in 95 games and scoring 133 points. Aaron’s career was spoiled by frequent injuries, and he called time in his career earlier this year.
