The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Captain and Pattein of India Rajat Patidar should miss the Duleep trophy, because the striker was advisable to rest by the BCCI medical team at the center of excellence. Patidar was in the radar for the tour in England, but missed due to the injury in hand, which he suffered during the RCB’s victory campaign after their triumph IPL 2025.

Patidar has already made his test debut for the country, however, he failed to stay in the side any longer, because injuries were a regular at Indore. The young person is on the track to appear for men in blue in T20is, because his skills with the bat was exhibited in the IPL season. For the moment, Patidar will focus on its recovery, then touch the soil running in the Ranji trophy.

“Rajat trains at the camp outside the MP season, but he did not hit, because he was advisable to take a break and recover from the injury on the right by the BCCI medical team. He will miss the Duleep trophy but should be good for the Ranji trophy,” said a source of the Times of India report.


LSG PACE TRIO undergoes surgery

Apart from Patidar, Mayank YadavAvesh Khan and Mohin Khan are also on the road to recovery after having undergone successful surgeries in June after the conclusion of the Indian Premier (IPL) 2025. The three Pacers should be out of service for the next six months. They all represented Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the league rich in cash.

Mayank, who played two games for LSG in IPL 2025 before being excluded from the tournament due to a back injury, succeeded. Surgery procedures were in the vigilant eyes of Dr. Rowan Schouten in Christchurch, New Zealand, in June. He only played three T20is for India against Bangladesh in 2024, taking four counters at an average of 20.91.

“He is absent for six to eight months,” said a source.


Coe to be careful

Avesh and Mohin have undergone knee surgeries, led by the Mumbai -based orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. The same surgeon has already operated on the stars of India Jasprit Bumrah And Rishabh Pant too. Avesh underwent surgery on his right knee on June 17, while Mohin was operated on the reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on his knee last month.

Mohin tore his ACL on the right knee while playing in the Vijay Hazare trophy, and joined the LSG camp before IPL 2025. However, he failed to recover from the injury and was replaced by Shardul Thakur. Avesh had knee problems during the 2024/25 domestic season and was forced to miss the last match of the Miss Madhya Pradesh trophies. He also missed the first games of IPL 2025.

The trio will miss the first half of the 2025-26 interior cricket season and should return during the second stage of the Ranji trophy next year. They will be rehabilitated at the BCCI Center of Excellence (Coe) in Bengaluru.
