Oh wonderful, so he finally scores a 50 and NOW he remembers he’s injured. What perfect timing! I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that India were about to bat and he’d have to bowl. Absolutely brilliant strategy mate 👏
So let me get this strait… he was afraid of getting injured, then scored 50, then got injured anyway? Make it make sense. This entire situation is joke and England are paying the price for poor planning
People saying he’s injury prone are completly missing the point. The guy plays all three formats, captains the test side, bowls fast, bats aggresively – what do you expect?? Maybe if England managed their players better instead of running them into ground this wouldnt happen every single time

For those wondering, Stokes has missed approximately 40% of England’s test matches in last 3 years due to various injuries and mental health breaks. His first fifty came in the 2nd innings at 51 not out before the injury occured during fielding session. The injury appears to be related to his chronic knee problem that’s been plagueing him since 2023.
This is absolutely devasteting news for England cricket. Stokes has been thier backbone and loosing him now specially after he just got his form back with that 50 is huge blow. Hope he recovers quick and comes back stronger than ever!!
This really sad to see actually. Whatever people say about him, Stokes is genuine match winner when fit. That 50 showed he still got it. But his body just cant keep up anymore with the demands. Maybe its time for England to seriously consider his workload managment or even transition him to batting only role?
