  1. People defending this decision are crazy!! Parthiv was mediocre wicketkeeper batsman at best. How can you even compare him to Virat Kohli who is modern day legend?? RCB has always made poor decisions and this proves it again. No wonder they never won IPL trophy.

  2. Interesting move actually. Sometimes teams need fresh perspective and Parthiv had good leadership skills. But timing was wrong and Kohli was too important to team.

  3. Wow this is totaly shocking news! I cant beleive RCB management was thinking of making Parthiv captain over Kohli. Like seriously what were they smoking?? Kohli is one of the best captians in world cricket and they wanted to replace him with Parthiv lol. This shows how bad RCB management has been over the years.

  4. This is complete nonsense rumor. No way RCB would do such stupid thing. Virat Kohli is face of franchise and best batsman in team why would they even think of replacing him?? Stop spreading fake news for clicks.

  5. This reminds me of that time my society cricket team made the worst player captain because he brought the bat lol. Maybe Parthiv promised to bring new jerseys or something haha. RCB logic = no logic.

  6. HAHAHA this is funniest thing I heard today!! Parthiv Patel as captain instead of Virat Kohli!! Next you will tell me they wanted to replace ABD with random club cricketer. RCB management always been joke and this proves it 100%.

  7. Lmao RCB wanted Parthiv as captain. What’s next, making Chahal the opening batsman? Or maybe Umesh Yadav as wicketkeeper? RCB management IQ is truly unmatchable hahaha.

  8. Oh yes brilliant idea! Replace best batsman in world with player who barely scored runs. RCB management is truly genius, no wonder they have zero trophies in 12 years. Maybe next they will make AB de Villiers waterboy?

  9. If this news is true then it explains lot about RCB poor performance. Imagine having Virat Kohli and thinking of replacing him. This is why they never win anything. Management needs complete overhaul not just captain change.

  10. Actually if you look at the statistics, Parthiv Patel had decent captaincy record in domestic cricket. He captained Gujarat Lions before and also led India A team. So from management perspective it might have made some sense to consider experienced captain. But obviously Kohli brand value and batting ability made him irreplaceable as captain.

  11. Look I understand RCB wanted change because team was not performing under Kohli captaincy. They never reached finals since 2016. So thinking of alternatives make sense from business point. But Parthiv was definitly not right choice even if they wanted to change captain.
