After losing their match against the Mumbai Indians by nine counters, Captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), MS Dhoni, looked visibly upset.
After Suryakumar Yadav struck the six winners, the 43 -year -old walked directly to one of the referees and was seen having an animated conversation.
However, the context of the conversation is unknown, but in the post-match presentation, Dhoni admitted that CSK was not good enough. CSK lost 6 of their first 8 games in IPL 2025 and languid at the bottom of the point table.
“I think we were completely below the paragraph. We knew that the dew would come into play,” said Dhoni during the post-match presentation.
Who is this IPL player?
“We wanted to exploit the emotions of the middle. We estimated that Bumrah, being one of the best thoroughness of the death in the world, meant that once they started their bowling in death, we should have had the momentum with us.
“We should have started to go a little earlier before the introduction of Bumrah. We needed these races because 175 were never a score in this place.”
Dhoni said the approach in the future is to secure a good game game for the next game.
“I think we have to realize that to succeed, you have to play a good cricket,” he said.
“We cannot be emotional on this subject. We must be practical. We must see whether or not we play the good form of cricket. We have also dropped some taken this evening.
“We are just going to take a match at a time. Even if we lose a few, we have to focus on the right combination for next year. We don’t want many players to change. We will try to make the playoffs. If we can’t, we will watch a XI settled and try to come back strong next season.”
CSK will then face Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday at the Ma Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.
