Brett Howden scored two goals, including the winner of the match at the start of the third period, and the Golden Knights in Vegas beat Minnesota Wild 4-2 in match 1 of the first round series of the Western Conference on Sunday evening in Las Vegas.

Tomas Hertl had a goal and a decisive pass, Adin Hill made 18 stops and Pavel Dorofeyev also scored for Vegas, which improved at 9-2 in operators of the T-Mobile Arena qualifying series.
