After missing his recruit season due to a meniscus torn to the right knee, the quarter of the Vikings of Minnesota, JJ McCarthy, is that all the systems operate for the off-season training sessions this month, according to his coach.

Kevin O’Connell told journalists on Monday that McCarthy had no restrictions this spring. He said McCarthy was an advantage of learning the Vikings systems “in a classroom” to this point.

“It is the beauty of the year that we had with him, although without the physical representatives since the injury,” said O’Connell. “But there has been a lot of time on Task and I want once again to credit JJ for the way he managed the last two, 2 1/2, three months when I think he is ready to hit the ground in progress from today.”

Now that McCarthy is healthy and limitless, the next step is to enter the more competitive environment of OTA and Minicamp, with live rehearsals.

“All this will be systematically planned for him,” said O’Connell, “and I think he is ready to attack him.”

The Vikings went from 2024, the quarter-Arrière leaving Sam Darnold, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks in a free agency after a surprise season in Minnesota.

The only other quarter-arre in addition to McCarthy, 22, on the list is Brett Rypsum, and although the Vikings had interviews with Aaron Rodgers, the general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah told journalists at the end of March that the team was heading for “Dubbing McCarthy QB1.

This does not mean that Minnesota will not add this off -season at least a quarter more.

“We were patient and have really evaluated many different ways to do so,” said O’Connell. “There are potential professions and free agencies and always the project. We are going through a process of determining who is the player that we want to solidify this piece knowing that JJ and Brett work here, from today, and finally we will end this piece and that we will always have a competitive situation in there, but you look at it.”

The Vikings drafted McCarthy 10th in the general classification of the 2024 draft after winning a national championship in Michigan. He underwent surgery for a meniscus torn in mid-August after paying the pre-season opener of the Vikings.
