Punjab Kings Captain Shreyas Iyer was sentenced to a fine of Rs 12 Lakh for having maintained a slow pace during their victory with four gates against Chennai Super Kings in Chepauk on Wednesday evening. It was a first infraction of overview of PBKS in IPL 2025, which also led them to position an additional field player inside the circle before the 19th.
Despite the restriction penalty in the field, Yuzvendra Chahal won four counters in the 19th, including his second IPL triple, limiting the CSK to 190 all in 19.2 Overs.

The victory propelled the kings of the Punjab in second place on the point table. Chennai Super Kings, with only four ten matches, is now eliminated from affirmations of the playoffs.
