Less than 24 hours after taking a sure blow in the seventh round of its beginnings in MLB, Noah Cameron is on the way back to Triple-A Omaha.
The Kansas City Royals opted for the 3-foot 3-inch left-handed to storm hunters on Thursday, a day after Cameron launched 79 throws and granted only one time on 6 1/3 sleeves during the 3-0 victory of the Royals at Tampa Bay. This lonely shot came out of the Curtis Mead bat, which has laced a simple left and caused a change of pitch.
Considered one of the best hopes of Kansas City, Cameron, 25 years old – from Missouri who went to high school about 60 miles north of the Kauffman stadium – has become the first launcher to record so many sleeves without success during his beginnings since April 2018.
Kansas City has not displayed non-frapper from Bret Saberhagen in 1991. This period of 5,244 games is the third longer drought active in the majors.
Cameron started the season in Omaha, where he went 2-0 with an MPM of 3.22 during his first five departures. The Royals spoke about it for a starting point on Wednesday while AS Cole Ragans continues to cope with a painful groin.
