Following the cease-fire agreement between India and Pakistan, which entered into force at 11:30 am GMT (5:00 p.m. Ist / 4:30 pm PKT) Saturday, the BCCI is moving towards the resumption of IPL 2025 in May.
The franchises are already working to bring their players abroad, many of whom had left India earlier Saturday in the middle of the conflict.
“The war has stopped. In the light of the new situation, the office carriers of the BCCI, the civil servants and the IPL board of directors will meet on Sunday to discuss the question and decide the path to follow,” said the vice-president of the BCCI, Rajeev Shukla, to Pti Videos. “We are going to explore the best possible schedule to complete the tournament.”
