Aaron Nola is at the worst start of his career, but there is a lot of baseball to play.

The veteran right -hander will aim to ensure his first victory of the season Wednesday evening when the Philadelphia Phillies welcome the Giants of San Francisco during the third competition of their four game sets.

Nola (0-3, 5.51 ERA) granted two circuits in each of its first two departures – defeats against the Nationals of Washington and the Los Angeles Dodgers. He kept the Cardinals of St. Louis in the park on Friday, but he walked four thickness in five rounds as part of a 2-0 setback.

“He does not yet have his good quick ball – with the (strong) finish,” said the manager of Philadelphia, Rob Thomson, adding that “he will get this when (time) warms up, I think.”

This would help if the bats of the phillies warmed up during the departures of Nola. They scored a total of two points in his three outings.

Philadelphia’s offensive has generally been calm lately, although Tuesday’s competition has been a step in the right direction. JT Realmuto and Bryce Harper each dominated and led in two points in a 6-4 victory against San Francisco.

“I really liked our approach tonight. Four walks. Two stick withdrawals,” said Thomson. “I thought we had played a very good game.”

Max Kepler and Bryson Stott joined Realmuto with two strokes for the Phillies, who had lost four of their five previous games. They try to avoid dropping their third consecutive series after winning three consecutive sets to start the campaign.

“It is still early, of course, but you have to continue,” said Harper. “One match at a time, a round at a time. But you have to win series and leave from there.”

San Francisco, meanwhile, is trying to start winning again after Tuesday’s defeat. The team had won four of its five previous games, including 10-4 during the opening of the series on Monday.

Justin Verlander granted an advance of 3-2 Tuesday, granting two points in sixth round, including the base to Alec Bohm. The triple winner of the Cy Young Award (0-1) remains without victory in four departures with the Giants.

“He was very successful, and that may have played there,” said San Francisco manager Bob Melvin, about his decision to stick to Verlander in the key place “, but I wanted to give him a chance to take out the latter.”

The left-hander Robbie Ray (3-0, 2.93 ERA) obtained a sign of the head for the giants on Wednesday, after a difficult start to the Yankee Stadium in which he launched 98 launches in four rounds as part of a match with a rain. The giants won 9-1. Ray walked four in wet conditions, giving it nine free passes in 10 rounds during its last two departures.

“I had the impression that the time itself was not so bad, but the field conditions began to shoot a little after the second round,” said Ray, who has a chance to exceed his total victory last season, when he went 3-2 in seven departures after his return from Tommy John Purgery.

Ray has a 4-2 file with an MPM of 5.32 in eight career starts against the Phillies. Nola is 3-2 with an MPM of 6.58 in eight lifelong starts against the Giants.
