Finally we get too see the real contenders go head to head! Both teams been playing lights out baseball lately and this series gonna be epic. The pitching matchups are insane, cant wait to see how the lineups perform under pressure.
For context, the Cubs are leading in team ERA at 3.24 while the Brewers have the edge in batting average .267 vs .251. Both teams have won 7 of their last 10 games. Are we really calling these the ‘best teams’ lol? They both struggled against weaker division opponents last month. The NL has way better competition than what were seeing here imho.
Best teams? The Brewers maybe but Cubs? No way thats accurate. Their offensive numbers are inflated from playing weak pitching staffs and anyone whose actually watched the games knows there defense has been shakey at best. This matchup is overhyped.
Oh sure, an ‘All-Stars matchup’ between two teams that barely made it past April without falling apart. I’m sure this will be the World Series preview everyone’s been waiting for… said no one ever 🙄
