The key factor here is their batting average against left-handed pitchers which has been declining since last month. Also the Nationals bullpen has a ERA of around 4.2 this season so theres definitely opportunity there for the Astros to capitalize.

Trying to return to reaching home lanes… so basically they admit they been terrible? Like what even is this headline trying to say?? The whole organization needs a reality check if you ask me. They acting like just showing up is some kind of accomplishment now.
The problem isnt just reaching home its about consistent hitting and defense. You cant win games if your leaving runners on base every inning and making errors in the field. Basic stuff really.
