Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan obtained central contracts by the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI). The Board Indian Cricket announced the annual contracts of players for Team India (senior men) for the 2024-25 season (October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025) on Monday.
Iyer obtained a Grade B contract, while Ishan received a Grade C contract. Cabinet goalkeeper Rishabh Pant was promoted to level A.
Iyer was abandoned last season for having pretended to ignore domestic cricket for IPL. The Guiche-Strong Guicher Ishan Kishan. Abandoned for the same reason, has also made a return to category C, which is worth a crore per year.
