On the other hand, the head coach of LSG Justin Langer is also not sure to continue his role after a mixed passage of two years in the IPL. KKR separate with Bharat Arun Mutually after the release of Chandrakant Pandit

Meanwhile, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) officially separated from their Bowling Bharat Arun coach, just a day after removing their head coach Chandrakant Pandit. This means that there are now two major coaching positions open in the Triple of the Champions of the IPL.

However, Kolkata Knight Riders should follow an appropriate selection process before noting the new staff. Over the years, KKR has been strongly reputed to help his coaches develop, with several former staff members such as Gautam Gambir, Trevor Bayliss and Brandon McCullum who assume the best roles with international teams like India and England.

However, Arun’s release on the KKR side was friendly. With Dwayne Bravo who already manages some of Bowling’s responsibilities as a team mentor, KKR and Arun Sides have agreed that having too many votes could confuse the players, and they separated.

Bharat Arun finds the pants

In addition, KKR has always followed a policy of supporting the career movements of its staff. Arun had asked to be released and the team respected his decision. Now Arun is ready to find Captain LSG Rishabh Pant and the Avesh Khan fast launcher in IPL 2026.

On the other hand, Lucknow’s Super Giants had a difficult period during the 2025 IPL season, finishing seventh on the points table. After going to the IPL qualifiers in 2022 and 2023, it was a big step back for the team based in Lucknow.

The super giants of Lucknow played 14 games, won 6 and lost 8, ending the 2025 season with 12 points and a net negative execution rate of -0.376. One of their biggest problems was the bowling alley because injuries to key pacers like Mayank Yadav, Akash Deep and Avesh Khan seriously harmed their performance in last season.

  1. LSG must have offered him Head Coach position or something big like that. Otherwise why anyone leave CSK who is most successful franchise? Money talks in IPL we all know this. Arun sir also have family to feed so cant blame him much.

  2. For those who dont know, Bharat Arun was bowling coach of Indian team also before. He worked with CSK for many seasons and helped develop bowlers like Deepak Chahar. Now LSG offering him bigger role probably with more money and responsibilities. Its normal in cricket industry this kind of moves happens all the time.

  3. Actually this could be good for both teams. CSK will bring fresh ideas with new coach and LSG getting experienced person. Win-win situation I think. But yes timing could have been better definitely.

  4. People saying its bad move but why?? CSK already won so many trophies, LSG is new team and need good coaches. Arun sir has right to choose better opportunity for his carrier. Whats wrong in that? Everyone does same thing in their job also no??

  5. Bharat Arun to LSG: ‘Thik hai bhai, main aa raha hoon’ CSK: ‘Arre par humara season kya hoga?’ Arun: ‘Sorry, wrong number’ 😂😂

  6. Breaking News: Man leaves job for better opportunity! In other shocking news, water is wet and sky is blue! Media making big drama out of normal job change lol 😅

  7. Amazing! Just amazing timing sir ji. CSK was probably planning their whole season strategy and boom… coach decides to leave. Such dedication, much wow!

  8. So according to some people here, coaches should work for free and never change jobs? Ridiculous! If better opportunity comes, anyone will take it. Stop blaming Arun sir for making smart carrier move. He own nothing to CSK after contract finish.

  9. Oh yes, because leaving CSK at last minute is such a ‘professional’ thing to do. I’m sure Dhoni must be really happy about this timing. Great loyalty shown here! 👏

  10. Wow what a shocking news! Bharat Arun was doing so good job with CSK bowling attack. But LSG is also good team and they need experience coach like him. All the best for his new journey!!

  11. This move making no sense at all. Why he wait till last minute to inform? CSK management must be very angry right now. They need find replacement coach very fast before season start.

  12. This is very bad decision by Arun sir. CSK made him what he is today and now he left them at last minute?? Not good ethics at all. Very disappointing behaviour from senior coach.
