No team in baseball has played better since May 24 than the Astros of Houston, a section that the club will seek to extend Saturday against the host Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim, California.

After winning a 3-2 victory in 10 rounds at the opening of the series on Friday, the Astros won 18 of their last 25 games. Houston has also won 19 of his last 27 against the angels since the beginning of 2023.

The astros lowered the era of their team to 3.40 in the victory on Friday, which ranks fifth in the majors.

Aimed at maintaining this trend and prolonging its successful outing chain, the left-hander Brandon Walter (0-0, 1.53 ERA) will make the fourth start of his big league career on Saturday.

Walter, 28, granted three points in 17 2/3 rounds on three non-decisions with Houston. The last time, he went 6 2/3 images against the twins of Minnesota, giving only one point while removing nine without walking a paste. The Astros won 2-1 in 10 rounds.

“We have the next man’s mentality,” said Walter, who was called from Triple-A Sugar Land on May 20. “You just have to give the ball to someone and you just know they are doing well here. It’s like that. It’s contagious.”

Walter made nine appearances from the Boston enclosure in 2023 before missing all last season with a rotator cuff injury. He should face the angels for the first time in his career on Saturday.

Los Angeles appreciated a series against New York because he took three of the four with the Yankees before seeing his offense calm down when the series is opened on Friday. The Angels succeeded 12 stick withdraws while finishing 0 for 8 with runners in a score position in the defeat of a point.

The Los Angeles season for the stick of the season fell to .224 in the reverse – only better than that of the White Sox (.223). Angels pitch staff, although better recently, was not a bright point because they have an MPM of 4.63.

The right-hander Jose Soriano (4-5. 3.54) did his best to keep the staff afloat before his 16th start to the season on Saturday.

Soriano, 26, is 2-1 with an MPM of 3.05 in his last seven departures and came out of an outing in which he launched seven-sleeves aimlessly against the Yankees in non-decision on Monday. The angels won 1-0 in 11 rounds.

Soriano granted a point in 3 2/3 rounds in four career appearances of the enclosure of the lifts against Houston.

The Angels and Astros will try to keep their temperature in check after the Houston Starter Hunter Brown, the Zach Neto stop stop in the elbow with a 95-h / h plot. The benches and arenas have emptied without any punching.

Los Angeles will be without the manager Ron Washington in the foreseeable future while the 73 years are moving away from the team due to health problems.

“It’s sad. We want the best for him and want him to be healthy as soon as possible and come back with us,” said the Angels from the Angels, Taylor Ward. “We have a good chance to get together even more.”

Bench coach Ray Montgomery was appointed acting director on Friday.
