Compulsory credit: Dale Zanine-Imagn Images The Braves d’Atlanta struck three circuits to support a solid pitching effort from Grant Holmes and win a 6-2 victory against the Minnesota twins on Sunday to sweep a series of three games.
Matt Olson, Drake Baldwin and Marcell Ozuna have all gone deep to help the Braves extend their sequence of global victories against Minnesota at 11 games.
Holmes (2-1) launched 5 2/3 innings and gave a point on four strokes, four balls on bullets and a summit of seven stick withdrawals. The right -hander has escaped base jams in the bases in the fourth and fifth sleeves to reach only one handle on wild land. It was his first career victory against the Twins.
Enyel de Los Santos released the final in the sixth round and launched the seventh, granting a round. Pierce Johnson finished with two stick withdrawals on two -sleeves aimlessly.
The twins Joe Ryan (1-2) made five rounds, granting six points in eight strokes and a walk with five sticks to the stick. He authorized the three circuits.
The lifts of Minnesota Louis Varland, Jhoan Duran and Danny Coulombe each delivered a goalless round and did not allow a basic runner.
The Braves went up to the board during the first round on a long two-point circuit by Olson, his third, then made 3-0 in the second on a simple RBI of Austin Riley.
Baldwin experienced a kick in front of two points, his second, in the third round and Ozuna struck a solo circuit, his fourth, to start the fifth round.
Byron Buxton du Minnesota struck his fourth circuit, a solo shot of 434 feet in the central field in seventh round. The native of Georgia went 2-in-5 with a double and was 5 for 13 in the series.
The Twins are now 2-7 in the interleague and only 4-15 against the National League since August 25, 2024. Atlanta has a 5-4 file against the American League teams, throughout their last nine games.
