This whole situation is frustrating. Archer has so much talent but his body just cant handle the workload it seems. Maybe the T20 leagues are taking to much out of him? Either way something needs to change
Broad suggesting replacements from the commentary box is easy isnt it? He’s not the one who has to make these decision or deal with the consequences if it goes wrong. Typical retired player thinking they know better

The concern about Archer is valid but we should give him one more proper chance to prove his fitness. However Atkinson should definitely be in the squad as backup option atleast
Anyone else find it ironic that Broad who himself had injury problems throughout career is now suggesting dropping someone for injury concerns? The hypocrisy is real lol
I disagree completely with Broad here. Archer is world class when fit and you dont just replace world class talent with an untested bowler. This is premature and reactive thinking that could backfire badly on England
This is worrying news for England cricket. Jofra has been injury prone for while now and we cant keep relying on him if hes always breaking down. Atkinson showed promise but is he really ready for the big stage?? Time will tell I suppose.
So we’re just giving up on Archer now are we?? The guy who won us games singlehandedly when he was fit? Absolutely ridiculous. Atkinson hasn’t proved anything yet at international level and your all ready to throw him in the deep end.
Sure, let’s replace our most talented fast bowler with someone who’s never played a test match. What could possibly go wrong? Genius strategy England! 😂
Archer was supposed to be our answer to the pace bowling problems. Now we’re talking about replacing him already? What a mess.
Finally some common sense from Broad! We need bowlers who can actually stay on the field not spend half there time in the treatment room
Gus Atkinson averages 25.3 in first-class cricket with 127 wickets in 34 matches. He bowls consistently around 87-90 mph and has shown good control in county cricket. His action is similar to Broad’s actually which might be why Stuart rates him so highly.
Broad knows what he’s talking about!! He’s seen enough bowlers in his career to judge talent properly. If he think Atkinson is ready then Im backing that judgement 100%
