Imagine if all cricket was like this – teams thanking each others players for showing up lol. ‘Thanks for coming to play against us!’ Next level stuff here guys haha. Maybe we should all get participation trophys while we at it?
For those who dont know the context – Gambhir and Gill was helping England players prepare for India series by simulating match conditions in Manchester. They spend considerable time bowling and batting in the nets, giving England’s team valuable practice against quality Indian-style cricket. It was actually quite generous of them to contributing like this.

I see both sides here but honestly this was mutually benefitial arrangement. Yes England got practice but Gambhir and Gill also got to asses the conditions and opposition. Saying England should ‘thank’ them is bit over the top dont you think?
I completly disagree with this narrative. Why should England be thanking Indian players for doing what benefits India too? They was scouting England weaknesses at same time. This is strategy not charity. Your missing the whole point here.
