  1. For those wondering about his stats – he’s scored 847 runs in last domestic season with average of 52.3 and has three centuries against quality pace attacks. His FC record speaks for itself really. Also important to note he’s played 15 first class matches this year which shows he’s been preparing properly unlike some other players.

  2. Yeah sure lets just pick the entire CSK squad while we at it mate. Maybe Dhoni can come out of retirement to coach them too lol.

  3. Wait so is he english player or what im bit confused here?? How can CSK star play for england someone explain plz? Not being rude genuinly asking.

  4. Plot twist: they announced him because they needed someone who can actually play spin without looking like bambi on ice haha. English batsmen vs spin = comedy gold every single time!!

  5. Everyone saying he deserve it but what about the players who been performing consistantly in county cricket?? Just because someone hits six in IPL dosent mean they can handle 90mph bouncers in test match. This is pure marketing decision not cricketing one!

  6. What a joke of selection this is?? How can they pick someone from IPL format for test cricket its completely diferent game. England selectors have lost there mind completely, this will be disaster waiting to happen mark my words.

  7. Oh wonderful, another IPL hero coming to save English test cricket. Because that’s worked so brilliantly in the past hasn’t it? I’m sure his experience of playing 20 overs will really help in a 5 day match.

  8. Brilliant selection by the management! This CSK player has been in phenomenal form and absolutely deserves his spot in the squad. His technique against spin is world-class and thats exactly what we need against India. Can’t wait to see him perform at the highest level!

  9. Its a interesting pick tbh. He’s got potential but will need support from experienced players around him. Time will tell if this gamble pays of or not.
