A meeting touched by the rain in Minnaswamy Stadium saw the kings of the punjab emerging victorious against the royal benggaluru by five counters during the 34th match of the Premier League Indian 2025. The match was reduced to 14 overtime per side due to the rain, but the amount of drama was still ensured.
The Punjab Kings won the draw and chose to play first on a damp surface. Beating first, RCB had trouble finding momentum and crawled at 95/9 in 14 Overs. Tim David was the only bright point, breaking a Quickfire 50 * on only 26 balls. Arshdeep Singh made the breakthroughs early by rejecting Phil Salt and Virat Kohli, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen kept things tight through the Overs of the Middle.
In response, the Kings of Punjab chased the modest target in 12.1 Overs, finishing at 98/5. The Openers Priyansh Arya (16 out of 11) and Prabhsimran Singh (13 OFF 9) gave a quick start. Although the fiery fate of Josh Hazlewood (3/14) rocked the first order, Nehal Wadhera remained composed, guiding the team at home with an undefeated 33 balls on 19 balls.
Tim David won the game player award for his exceptional blow.
“It didn’t feel so easy for me. I was lucky to see what the field is doing so that I can adapt. I am happy to be able to contribute, but whatever the coaches staff poses, I am happy to do it. I am happy to be able to face more balls today, but I do not ask questions about my positions. I felt happy with the way I felt better.
