This is worst suggestion I ever seen. You want to change half of playing XI in middle of series?? That’s how you loose matches not win them. Team need stability not constant changing.
Haha imagine if selectors actually listening to this and we loose by innings 😂 Then same people writing article about why team shouldn’t have made changes!
Sure, because musical chairs is exactly what winning cricket team does. Nothing says ‘championship material’ like panicking and shuffling lineup every match. Genius strategy right there.
The author make some valid points about spin option. England pitchs traditionally support spin in later innings and having two spinners could be strategical move. However I think changing too many players at once might disrupt team chemistry which is equally important.
How can you justify dropping player who scored 50 in last match? Your logic is completely flawed! And suggesting to bring player who hasn’t played international cricket in 6 months – are you even watching same sport as rest of us? This changes make no sense whatsoever.
Totaly agree with this analysis! India definately need to make these change for Oval. Our middle order is not performing at all and we need fresh legs in bowling department. This article pointing out exactly what team management should be thinking right now.
Intresting take but I disagree with point number 3. That player you mentioning has average of only 28 in English condition. We should look at statistics more carefully before making such recommendation. Also weather forecast showing rain for day 3 and 4 which change entire scenario of pitch behaviour.
Finally someone talking sense! The current combination simply not working and we need to be brave enough to make tough decisions. Better to try something new than keep repeating same mistakes. I specially agree with bringing extra all-rounder for balance.
The problem with this analysis is it only looking at recent form and not considering long term player development. Yes current results are disappointing but constant chopping and changing is what made us inconsistant in first place. Maybe we should giving players proper chance to settle down instead of dropping after 2 bad games?

Complete nonsense article. Waste of time reading this.

Good points raised here. The opening partnership definitly needs addressing.

Author clearly never played cricket in their life lol. These ‘expert analysis’ always funny to read after morning chai ☕
Not bad suggestions actualy. Worth considering atleast few of them.

Oh yes, brilliant idea! Why stop at 5 changes? Why not change entire team and coaching staff also? Maybe change stadium too while we at it. 🙄
