Even in the exercise of adding players to the list, some NFL teams are better than others.
Whether they have not solved flagrant problems on their list or that they constantly reach players who are not as talented as the others, these four teams are simply not up to the potential of this project.
Saint-Orleans saints
When you are the only League team that is in the salary ceiling, you must really hit your draft choices to compensate. Unfortunately, the saints failed to almost all the turns. Their first choice was usable, although a little reach on Kelvin Banks, but all the choices afterwards were completely wasted.
The saints were prepared for the experience of Brandon Weeden by selecting Tyler Shough at the start of the second round, an excessive and overrated perspective, then did not add any choice to support it before the latest rounds. It seems that the saints are content to throw Shough in fire, which worries me considerably.
New York Giants
Taking Dart in the first in itself seems ridiculous to me; The trade to do so made me legitimately red in the face. Dart is a good quarter-arre playing in the system most suited to QB on this side of the option, and when he was asked to make a second reading, he often panics and forces himself to pressure.
The giants have a decent offensive line but do not direct the DART of the offensive, so he can learn behind Wilson longer than expected. Beyond that, I am not convinced that Alexander can bring production to the NFL when it could not do it regularly in Toledo, and although Skattebo is difficult to approach, it is quite slow where it may not have any importance. Many upwards up here for a leadership unit which must save.
Rams of Los Angeles
Maybe I don’t live with their writing style even if Mcvay seems to make it work, but this year was even worse than usual. The Rams did not take a player whom I really liked before the fifth round, adding rather Terrance Ferguson with his first choice, someone who never marked me in Oregon and was pushed by tests.
They followed him with Josaiah Stewart, an overly small edge rusher, has no length and executed a 4.8 40, with a limited bucket and an explosiveness. Although the hanging Chris Paul Jr. in the fifth was cool, it is not enough to make the headlines that have not taken real studs in a very deep class.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers simply did not solve the problems I wanted them to solve. They finished the project with a QB, of course, but it was an addition to the sixth round. I like Howard enough, but Tom Brady, he is not. They needed more speed in the back field, but added Kaleb Johnson, who is powerful and has a good vision but which lacks this second equipment that the Steelers lacked.
No wide receiver was added to the rotation, but they picked up another rusher on board in an already crowded room, as well as two DT. I found it strange for a team whose best unit is their defensive line. They are simply not put in place to continue the sequence of percentages of victories of Mike Tomlin above .500, even if they manage to roll in Aaron Rodgers after a dramatic off-season.
