The rotation of the Giants of San Francisco took another hit when the right -hander Landen Roupp landed on the list of 15 days injured with inflammation of the elbow.
According to The Athletic.
The giants are reduced to three regular runners with All-Stars Logan Webb and Robbie Ray and the future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander.
“In flow,” said manager Bob Melvin about his rotation. “Probably Tuesday, we will have to take a step. … We have to be prepared for anything.”
Roupp, 26, is 7-6 with an MPM from 3.11 to 20 departures. He gave four strokes and withdrew six goals aimed in a 9-0 victory in Atlanta on Tuesday.
In a corresponding movement on Friday, San Francisco recalled the right-hander Tristan Beck of Triple-A Sacramento. Beck, 29, is 1-0 with an MPM of 5.14 in 11 games (no departures) this season for the Giants.
