The chances of Kolkata Knight Riders to reach the 2025 IPL -ipl qualifying series suffered a massive blow while the team led by Ajinkya Rahane fell to a 39 -point defeat against the Gujarat titans in Kolkata on Monday. It was KKR’s fifth defeat in 8 games because they are currently seventh from the IPL table with 6 points. After this defeat, KKR will have to win all his remaining games to guarantee their place in the playoffs. However, they can still qualify if they earn 5 of their 6 remaining games, but in this scenario, the net race rate and the results of other teams can play a huge role. If KKR wins 4 additional games in IPL 2025, they will be almost out of the playoff race, but a slight chance will remain mathematically.
Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan chose two counters each in a disciplined bowling performance to set up the 39 -point victory from Gujarat Titans against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at the Eden Gardens. Clinical victory also means that GT maintains its higher classification in the point table.
After the excellent 55-Ball 90 of Captain Shubman Gill, with the 52 and 41 of Jos Buttler of B Sai Sudharsan and Jos helped GT 198/3 competitive on a slow field, Krishna and Rashid were the most remarkable players in a performance of implacable bowling Overs.
