White shot skipper Harry Brook expressed his desire to return to the Premier League Indian (IPL) in the future, despite serving a two -year ban on the tournament. Brook received the suspension after withdrawing season IPL 2025 after a lucrative signature of the Capitals of Delhi.
Brook was bought for 6.25 FRODs INR by the Delhi -based team during the 2025 IPL auction. However, just before the start of the tournament, he chose to go out due to international tasks with England. This outing violated the newly implemented rule of the BCCI presented in September 2024, which indicates that if a player withdraws after being chosen at auction, he will be automatically prohibited for two seasons. Brook became the first cricket player to fall under this rule. The 25 -year -old admitted that it was a difficult decision, but remained by his decision to prioritize his country on franchise cricket.
“It was an incredibly difficult decision. IPL is an incredible tournament. It’s difficult cricket, with the best players in the world. The crowd and the atmosphere are incredible. It is the best franchise tournament in the world. I would be delighted to play IPL in the future, but for the moment, the focus is the emphasis on England ”
There is probably more inside for the spinners: Harry Brook on Edgbaston Pitch
Although he missed the IPL, the striker made good use of his time with the national side. He appeared in the England series against Zimbabwe and the Antilles. His decision has also borne fruit in the series of current tests against India.
In the first test of the five -game series, Brook scored a brilliant 99 in the first round, falling just below a century but playing an important role in the victory of England. He had no impact in the second rounds. He also talked about the second to come, from July 02 in Birmingham.
“Historically, the height of Edgbaston can be flatte. There is probably more for the spinners. Otherwise, it is generally a typical English height. If there is a rotation – and I guess completely here – it will probably be late on days three, four and five,” added Brook.
