Former Indian Cricket Player Navjot Singh Sidhu criticized Ravira Jadeja, the versatile for his inability to win test matches in conditions abroad, despite the recent undefeated Jadeja from 107 points to Manchester who helped India ensure a draw during the fourth test against England in Old Trafford.Jadeja’s sleeves proved to be crucial in Manchester when he approached the unequal rebound on the last day, Washington Sundar providing support from the other end. The partnership has helped maintain the series alive for India.
“I congratulated Jadeja a lot. Kapil Dev was a versatile bowling alley, and he won many tests for India abroad. But Jadeja did well in the support role far from his home. He has built his Overs and quickly executed the restrictive bowling,” Sidhu said on his test chain.Jadeja’s criticism intensified after the recent defeat of India at 22 points at Lord’s. The two teams had scored 387 points after the third day, but the Lord’s land has become difficult in the past four days.India managed to make lips in England for 192, set a goal of 193 points. Should Navjot Singh Sidhu review be taken seriously?
During the resistance, Jadeja’s approach was notably conservative, when it avoided turning the shot or attempting shots. The former captain of India Mohammad Azharuddin suggested that a more positive approach to Jadeja could have brought India to lead the 2-1 series instead of facing a deficit.Jadeja’s performance was a subject of discussion between cricket experts, many calling into question his ability to offer winning game performances under conditions abroad.
Oh yes, because clearly a player with 250+ Test wickets and multiple overseas wins has NO capacity whatsoever. Maybe we should just send the ex-worker back to work instead of giving interviews? Just a thought.
But what about his performence in 2021 Australia series? He was instrumental in that win. Also his fielding is world class which this article conveniently forgets to mention. The ex-player needs to look at complete picture not just cherry pick stats that suits his narrative.
Finally someone speaking truth! Ravindra Jadeja statistic in SENA countries are not that impresive compared to home. His batting average drops significantly and bowling strike rate increases. Numbers dont lie my friends.
Jadeja once took 5 wickets in innings at Oval if I remember correctly. Not bad for someone with no capacity!
The problem with this kind of analysis is that it ignores context. Overseas pitches are challenging for all spinners not just Jadeja. His economy rate is still excellent even abroad and he contributes valueable runs down the order. Yes his average could be better but saying he lacks capacity is bit harsh dont you think?
Jadeja is absolute legend and one of best allrounder in world cricket right now. This ex-player probably jealous of his success lol
So apparently Jadeja who has been playing international cricket for over decade suddenly lacks capacity? Did he lose it yesterday or today morning? Should we check if he left it at hotel room maybe?
Totally disagree with this nonsense! Jadeja has proved himself time and again in overseas conditions. His performance in Australia and England speaks for itself. These so-called experts just want to create controversy where there isnt any. Stop underestimating our players!
