India will go to Bangladesh in August for a series of white balls of six games which includes three international internationals and, for the first time, a bilateral series T20i between the two neighbors of Bangladesh.
The series also serves as a final focus before the Tup Asia 2025, which India should accommodate.
The tour starts with ODIs following DACCA on August 17 and 20, followed by a visit to Chattogram for the third ODI on August 23 and the first T20i on August 26. India will then return to Dhaka for the last two T20is on August 29 and 31.
The matches in Dhaka will be held at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, while the chattogram leg will take place at the Bir Shrestha Shaheed stadium, Lieutenant Motiur Rahman, well known as Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
“This series promises to be one of the most exciting and expected events of our domestic calendar,” said Bangladesh Cricket Board, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury. “India has established the reference index in international cricket in all formats and millions of crickets in the two countries are sure to take advantage of this competition.”
The visit to India has also marked its first white ball visit to Bangladesh since 2014, when they played three ODI during the summer. Although August is generally falling outside the traditional Bangladesh cricket calendar, the two nations have shown flexibility with planning.
In particular, Bangladesh welcomed Australia for a T20I series of five games in August 2021 and a test in 2017 during the same period.
India is expected to arrive in Dacca on August 13, with a crowded route which should be a high energy competitive series between two growing rivals in white ball cricket.
