Neither Bhogle nor Doull were present for comments during the KKR Titans match against Gujarat on Monday, although sources close to Bhogle said it was not planned for KKR games.
“Bhogle and Doull are no longer part of the IPL team of comments for KKR’s home matches. However, the situation could change when Eden welcomes qualifier 2 and the final on May 23 and 25,” a CAB official told PTI.
The controversy intensified after the management of the KKR team expressed its disappointment concerning the pitch conditions. Captain Ajinkya Rahane and head coach Chandrakant Pandit were unhappy not to obtain tracks adapted to a spin.
After KKR’s defeat against Lucknow Super Giants in a high-score match, Rahane expressed her frustration against the post-match press conference, declaring: “There was no help for the spinners, let me clarify this”, and suggested that other comments could create a controversy.
During the round table of experts, Doull had strongly criticized the position of the conservative: “If he (the curator) does not take into account what the home team wants … they pay the stadium costs, they pay for what is happening in IPL. If he still does not listen, then move the franchise.
