New Delhi: Fans of M Chinnaswamy Stadium were on the edge of their seats while the Royal Challengers Bengaluru were ahead of Chennai Super Kings in a bite nail thriller which went down to the final ball. From the start, the competition promised nerves and fireworks – and he delivered all the charges.

Earlier, RCB displayed 213/5 after being bathed. Jacob Bethell (55 out of 33) and Virat Kohli (62 out of 33) gave the hosts a flight start, adding 97 points for the first window. But it was Romario Shepherd who provided the real fireworks to death. In the end, the antisanic battered 53 * on only 14 bullets – the fifty faster of the season and the second faster in the history of the IPL – hammering four four and six in an amazing display.
For CSK, Matheesha Pathirana played with fire and precision, picking up 3/36 in his four overs.
