The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) has decided to stop the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Friday, May 9, in the middle of the increasing cross -border tension between India and Pakistan. Kasi Viswanathan, CEO of Chennai Super Kings, said that men in yellow could be out of the playoff race, but they want the tournament to be finished. He said they would cooperate with the BCCI concerning a restart and have already informed the stars abroad that they should have to join the camp in a week.

“Although we are not in the running for a barrage berth, we want the league to be finished. The IPL is a prestigious league and we want it to cooperate with the BCCI on the issue. We only have two additional games and we have indicated to the players abroad that they should return in a week,” said Viswanathan.
