NEW DELHI: Gujarat titans Rebounded in style with a 38 -point victory Sunrisers Hyderabad Friday, largely thanks to a sparkling captain by Shubman Gill.
The right -hander set the tone early and anchored a fierce striking effort which saw GT display an intimidating 224/6 – a total which turned out to be far beyond the scope of SRH.
Gill was in a sublime touch, making a scriptwriter 76 on only 38 deliveries. From the very first, he looked at control, referring to Mohammed Shami for an elegant six to run the dashboard.

Alongside the form Sai Sudharsan (48 out of 23), Gill punished the attack on the SRH with an elegant racing game, bringing the team to 87 without loss in less than seven overs.
It was particularly serious on Pat Cummins, hammering the Australian for four and six in an end which sums up the dominant start of GT. He reached his fifty bullets only at only 25 balls, presenting a timing and an impeccable placement, in particular through the offset.
Even after the dismissal of Sudharsan, Gill maintained the momentum, finding support in Jos Buttler (64 out of 37), who helped to raise GT beyond brand 200.
Gill’s sleeves, although listening to a run-out out of 76, posed the perfect platform. The skipper has also shown his passion in the field, given the engaging in an animated conversation with the referees on a DRS call involving Abhishek Sharma.
On the bowling front, Prasidh Krishna played with a 2/19 stingy in four overs, including the precious Herk of Travis Head, brilliantly taken in the depths by Rashid Khan.
Despite a lonely fight by Abhishek Sharma (74 out of 41), SRH weakened under the climbing request rate, ending at 186/6.
With this victory, Gujarat Titans not only solidified its hopes into a playoff series, but also sent a clear message; With Shubman Gill leading, they haven’t finished yet.
