“ It is tragic that those who came do not come back ”

Ancient Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) The owner, Vijay Mallya, expressed deep sadness about the tragic bomb incident that occurred near the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru on June 4, affirming several lives. The incident occurred in the midst of celebrations after RCB won their first Indian Premier League title (IPL) while ending a 17 -year drought.

Mallya said he was heartbreaking to see a joyful opportunity to turn into a tragedy. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and added that he was amazed by the overwhelming crowd which had gathered near the Chinnaswamy stadium to celebrate the victory.

“It is very sad that those who went out to celebrate ultimately did not go home. It is heartbreaking that the people who came for such a joyful opportunity met a tragedy. I extended my sincere condolences to all the affected families. I was surprised to watch her on television – the number of people was simply innovable, “said Mallya as cited by Cricbuzz.

Mallya also admitted that he refrains from commenting on the incident a lot, because he did not have a complete knowledge of the circumstances that surround him. But, he recognized that the whole city of Bengaluru was in a festive mood after the historic victory of RCB, and it was deeply unhappy that an incident as tragic occurred during what should have been a moment of happiness.

“I’m not going to comment on why this sad incident occurred because I don’t know enough. It would be unfair to make a comment. But the fact that people have lost their lives is a very, very sad thing, especially when any bangalore and all the fans celebrate. I can’t say more,” added Mallya.

On Bengaluru on Wednesday, 11 lives were lost and several other people were injured. Prima facie, it seems that the incident occurred due to inadequate planning and insufficient police presence to manage the massive crowd of lakhs which had gathered, which finally led to the tragedy.
