These injuries had maintained the rapid launcher outside of several key international events earlier this year, including certain parts of the Border-Gavaskar 2024-25 trophy against India in December-Janvier, the series of tests against Sri Lanka and the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy in February-March.

Despite the latest setback, an Espncricinfo report revealed that Cricket Australia (CA) is not too worried about Hazlewood. The fast launcher should always be appointed to the Australian test team, which will have a preparation camp in England in early June before the ICC World Championship final.

Uncertainty on South Australia-Africa Availability of players for IPL 2025
Thus, the return of Cummins and Head seems unlikely. However, things would be complicated for Mitchell Starc, because Delhi’s capitals are still in the running for the playoffs. Starc also faced a tiring trip from Dharamsala to Delhi by road and train after a game stopped halfway on May 8 for security reasons, which could also affect its decision.
Most of the New Zealand players have already returned home, but Mitchell Santner and Bevon Jacobs, who play for Mumbai Indians, have stayed back. According to Heath Mills, the chief of New Zealand of cricket players, Heath Mills, Santner and Jacobs remained after the team asked them.
On the other hand, South Africa Cricket will decide on Sunday (May 11) if its players can stay for the rest of the 2025 IPL. Their current nights are only valid on May 25, and CSA said that players’ safety would be absolute priority. With a warm -up match against Zimbabwe to come in early June before the WTC final, it remains to be seen if they allow players to extend their stay.
