  1. Oh yes, because replacing a trophy-winning coach with someone who has zero coaching experience at this level is definitely the smartest move ever made in cricket history. Genius! What could possibly go wrong? 🙄

  2. What a stupid decision by management. Chandrakant Pandit just won us championship in 2024 and now they want to remove him? This is ridiculous and shows no loyalty. Morgan was average captain in his last season, why they think he will be good coach??

  3. This is amazing news for KKR! Eoin Morgan understand the modern game so well and he already knows the franchise inside out. His captaincy was remarkable and now he can bring that strategic mind as coach. CP did good job but Morgan will take team to next level for sure!!

  4. People saying Morgan will be better are just forgetting that CP has won multiple trophies as coach including Ranji titles and IPL. What has Morgan done as coach? Nothing! Being good player doesnt mean you will be good coach. This is typical KKR management making emotional decision instead of logical one. Mark my words this will backfire badly.

  5. Makes sense from tactical perspective actually. Morgan has fresh ideas about T20 cricket, better understanding of overseas players mentality, and strong network in international cricket. CP style is more traditional which worked but IPL is evolving fast. Not saying CP is bad, but Morgan could bring new dimensions specially in auction strategies and match situations. Time will tell if this gamble pays off or not.

  6. Haha CP must be thinking what else I need to do to keep my job… win IPL? Done that. Develop young players? Done that. But no, lets bring Morgan because he speaks good English and looks cool in suit lol

  7. For those who dont know, Eoin Morgan has already started getting his coaching badges and has been working as analyst for Sky Sports. He has experience with England team management too. Chandrakant Pandit contract is ending in 2025 anyway, so this might be natural transition rather than forced replacement.

  8. Next they will hire Dinesh Karthik as assistant coach and then Russell as fitness trainer 😂 Why stop at Morgan, lets make entire 2014 squad the coaching staff! At this rate, maybe they should hire Gambhir again as batting consultant too hahaha
