The Giants of San Francisco will look for another home victory on Sunday when they have a third victory in their four -game series against Colorado Rockies.

The Giants ACE Logan Webb (3-2, 2.83) should be opposed by the right-hander in difficulty in German Marquez (0-5, 9.82) while San Francisco, beaten 4-3 in the opening of the series Thursday, goes for a third consecutive victory.

Matt Chapman was an engine during the victories of the two giants, Homering to close the scoring of his team in a triumph of 4-0 Friday and slam a big slam to crowned a sixth round of five points in a 6-3 victory on Saturday.

The giants totaled only 12 strokes in the two victories, but the manager Bob Melvin reminded everyone afterwards: it is when, not how much.

“Many of its circuits and many of its successes had an impact,” he said about Chapman, 1 for 3 days of which improved his average at only 0.205 but with seven circuits and 21 points produced. “We have a lot of guys that we feel like we can get more offensively. But a fairly timely blow today. I hope it will strengthen his confidence on the plate.”

With a shooting at a victory for the fourth series in five at home so far this season, the Giants would like nothing better than going out during the final against Marquez, which started the weekend equally at the head of the national losses.

The 30 -year -old served six or more deserved points in each of his last four departures. He came out of an outing of 5 1/3 Tuesday at home against the Braves of Atlanta in which he granted seven points and 11 strokes of the season.

In a somewhat surprising way, Marquez was later optimistic, noting: “I changed my delivery a little, and I felt good. Everything was there. I had to take it and continue.”

He is looking forward to improving on ugly career figures against the giants, against which he went 5-10 with an MPM of 6.62 in 17 departures.

“I fought,” he said. “It’s a bit frustrating, but each outing is an opportunity to take a good start. I don’t have the results. I have to keep working and get better.”

Webb, on the other hand, has enjoyed the rocks over the years, going 8-3 with an MPM of 3.23 in 16 tête-à-tête (15 departures). The eight victories are his most against any opponent.

Like Marquez, Webb was also in his season in his last departure, Tuesday in San Diego. He was marked with the defeat in a 7-4 defeat, granting five points and nine strokes in just five rounds.

The two launchers probably had a confidence by watching the first three games in the series.

The Rockies totaled only 16 strokes in the three games, including none for additional bases in one or the other of their two defeats. Four of their seven points in the series took place in the 4-3 Thursday victory.

At 6-27, the rocks have the worst record in major leagues. Just a little over a month after the start of the season, they already have 17 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the West National League.
