Marcus Semien struck a three-point circuit and rolled in four points while the Texas Rangers set the tone early and drove an 8-5 victory against athletics in the opening of a three-game series in West Sacramento, California.

Wyatt Langford managed three strokes to lead the Texas attack, Adolis Garcia and Semien each recorded two strokes. Langford, Josh Smith and Jake Burger, each marked a solo circuit for the Rangers.

The Rangers were the only major league team not to have scored seven points in a match this year, but they put this at rest in the fifth round, when they took a lead of 7-2.

Leaving Texas Patrick Corbin (2-2) was the beneficiary. Corbin granted two points – both on solo circuits – on seven strokes in five or more rounds. He managed four sticks to the stick and two walks and was raised in favor of Shawn Armstrong after abandoning two strokes to start the sixth round.

Luke Jackson launched a ninth round of 1-2-3 to obtain his seventh stop.

The rangers scrambled the start of athletics Osvaldo Bido, continuing it after giving eight points at eight strokes and three goals on balls with two sticks in the stick in 5 1/3 sleeves.

Texas scored twice during the first round, on the double RBI of Garcia and the fly of the sacrifice of semien. Athletics responded with a solo home run by Miguel Andujar in the second to reduce the deficit to 2-1.

Langford struck a solo circuit in the third. Lawrence Butler replied for athletics with her own solo tour-tour at the bottom of the frame.

The Rangers opened the match in the fifth. Smith has torn a long head ball. Seager and Garcia struck a simple in simple before the three-point semian shot was 7-2. In the sixth, Burger made a headline to stir up the advantage at 8-2.

Seager was withdrawn from the match in the sixth round due to what the team announced as a lock in hand.

Athletics added a seventh race on the single popup of JJ Bleday which brought back to the Brent rooker house. Luis Urias and Rooker added solo solo circuits to tighten the scoring, but Texas was able to keep.
