Michael Lorenzen launched seven goals aimless and won for the first time in almost a month on Sunday, while the Kansas City Royals beat Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0 in Phoenix.

Bobby Witt Jr. and Salvador Perez dominated the Royals, who took two of the three games in Arizona. Kyle Isbel went 2-in-4 with a product point, and Vinnie Pasquantino was also 2 for 4 with two doubles.

Lorenzen (5-8) launched seven rounds and only granted two strokes and a walk to record his first victory on the mound since he beat the White Sox of Chicago on June 8. He also equaled his season with seven stick withdrawals.

The Diamondbacks, which entered Sunday with an average of 5.2 points per game, were excluded for the second time this season, with the other body occurring on April 11. They were also kept for three strokes, equaling a season, namely four more times – including the 7-2 defeat of Thursday against the Giants of San Francisco.

Lorenzen did not give up before Randal Grichuk doubled with two withdrawals in the fifth.

The Arizona launcher, Anthony Desclafani (0-1), made his first departure for the club which signed it as free agent three weeks ago and its first start of the major league in almost two years. The 35 -year -old right -hander, who missed the second half of 2023 and all last season due to an elbow injury, hampered the Royals during the first three sleeves. This changed, however, when Kansas City strikers had their second glance.

Witt took Desclafani deeply to the center left on the first throw he saw in the fourth round for a solo home run, his 12th of the season. An exit later, Perez castigated another solo shot, his 10th, in the same place which made it 2-0.

Desclafani struck Jac Caglianone to start the fifth and would leave after abandoning the single to Nick Loftin and John Rave, the latter marked Caglianone. The start of D-Backs withdrew six and did not work any but abandoned four points deserved on four strokes and two successful strikers in four or more rounds.
