The former skipper of India Surav Ganguly met Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, after the confrontation between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Gardens of Eden, Kolkata. After a narrow defeat against KKR, the Indian veteran encouraged the young person and insisted him to continue playing with his intrepid cricket style.

Ganguly, the former KKR skipper, advised the young striker to play in the same way and not to change his game.
“I saw your game. Play the way you play fearless cricket. It is not necessary to change your game. He has a good power. He did not score points in the KKR match, but he is a very good player,” said Ganguly, quoted by India today.
