Rajasthan Royals found a new star in the form of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, 14, in the match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against the Super Giants of Lucknow on Saturday. Although the match led to a defeat for the Vaibhav franchise, he drew the attention of many in the cricket world with his fast shot of 34 points on 20 balls. The striker began his IPL career with a six on the bowling of Shardul Thakur, during the very first delivery he faced.
Purchased for costs of 1.1 crores inr by Rajasthan Royals in the mega auction last year, Suryavanshi was maintained in a strict diet in order to better prepare for life in IPL.
