  1. lol “eke out” is right. barely won both games by what, 1 run each? thats some championship caliber baseball right their folks 😂

  2. Oh wow, TWO whole wins against the mighty Blue Jays. Better start planning that World Series parade now! I’m sure sweeping a struggling team in August is definitly the turning point of the season we’ve all been waiting for…

  3. Finally! Been waiting all season for the O’s to show up like this. That second game was nail biter but they pulled through when it mattered most!!!

  4. Can someone explain to me how “eking out” victories is something to celebrate? Either you dominate or your just another mediocre team hoping to get lucky. The stats dont lie – this team is inconsistant at best.

  5. Sure, lets all pretend like squeaking past a last-place team is some kind of accomplishment. Next we’ll be hanging banners for “participation” I guess. The bar has never been lower for this franchise.

  6. eking out wins is not sustainable baseball sorry. you need to dominate teams like the jays if you want to compete for championship. this is barely scraping by

  7. I dont get why everyone is so negative all the time?? A win is a win people! The team showed grit and determination in both games, especially coming back in game 2. Thats what playoff teams do – they find ways to win even when there not playing perfect baseball.

  8. The Orioles improved to 12-8 in doubleheaders this season. Interestingly, their bullpen held the Jays to just 2 runs combined in the final 6 innings across both games. Félix Bautista continues to be dominant in high-leverage situations with a 1.08 ERA in his last 15 appearances.

  9. My cat could of pitched better than what I saw in game 1 and she’s been dead for 3 years. Absolutely pathetic performance saved only by dumb luck and the Jays being even worse somehow.

  10. Two wins means nothing when you look at the season overall. Still below 500 and struggling to stay relevent in the division. Wake me up when they actually string together a real winning streak that matters.

  11. Great effort by the boys today! Both pitchers really stepped up when we needed them. Defense was solid to and the timely hitting made all the difference.

  12. The pitching metrics from today’s doubleheader reveal some concerning trends. Game 1 starter had 4 walks which inflated his pitch count early. Game 2 saw better command but the offense only managed 6 hits combined across 14 innings of work. WHIP numbers need improvement moving forward if they want postseason success.
