The Punjab Kings followed a loss of a match after scoring 245/6 by winning a match after being completely released for 111 points. They broke the lowest score record ever defended in a T20 match when they broke KKR by 16 points. Chahal returned after that to play in the 14th and Andre Russell, who practically marked any race all year round, ripped it up for two six and four, thus bringing the requirement of KKR to 17 necessary for 36 balls.
