The Punjab Kings followed a loss of a match after scoring 245/6 by winning a match after being completely released for 111 points. They broke the lowest score record ever defended in a T20 match when they broke KKR by 16 points. Yuzvendra Chahal, who was the shadow of his usual self this season, found a form in a spectacular way, taking four counters in his first three Overs. (PTI)

Marco Jansen then rejected Rana in the next one and suddenly KKR was at their last two counters. Chahal returned after that to play in the 14th and Andre Russell, who practically marked any race all year round, ripped it up for two six and four, thus bringing the requirement of KKR to 17 necessary for 36 balls.
