Rajasthan Royals in the scandal for fixing matches in IPL 2025; Ordered investigation

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) ended up in a new controversy following serious match fixing charges. Jaideep Bihani, the candidate of the ad hoc committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), questioned the team’s intention and performance in their recent match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The Royals of Rajasthan experienced a disappointing race in the 2025 IPL. They had a hard time finding a form despite the maintenance of their hearts of previous seasons. The team led by Sanju Samson has not met expectations and is currently eighth on the table of points at 10 teams, with only two victories in eight games so far.

Rajasthan Royals accused of “match fixing” after a deliberate defeat against LSG

The Jaipur team underwent a close defeat of two points against Lucknow’s Super Giants during their 2025 IPL confrontation on April 19 in Jaipur. They were in a winning position during their prosecution of 181 but fogled during the last overshots. With only nine points necessary in the last, LSG Fast Bowler Avesh Khan made the match in favor of his team.

Addressing News18 Rajasthan, Jaideep Bihani, who is also a deputy for Sri Ganganagar, has raised serious concerns. Bihani said the ad hoc committee had no control over Royals in IPL.

“The ad hoc committee was appointed by the government of the state in Rajasthan. It has extended for the fifth time. We ensure that all competitions take place without any problem,” said Bihani.

“But then, just as IPL came, the Zila Parishad (District Council) took control of it. For IPL, the BCCI had first sent a letter to RCA, not the Zila Parishad.

The excuse given by them and RR is … – Jaideep Bihani

Jaideep Bihani has raised new concerns concerning the Royals Rajasthan by bypassing the Rajasthan Cricket Association and by directly dealing the District Council (Zila Parishad) for questions related to the stadiums.

“The excuse given by them and RR is that we do not have an understanding protocol of the Sawai Mansingh stadium. If the protocol is not there, then what? Do you pay Zila Parishad for each match?”

RR failed to continue nine points in the final against the Capitals of Delhi (DC) and ended up losing in a great plus. They will also be missing from Captain Sanju Samson for their next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 24 at Minnaswamy Stadium.

How Royals of Rajasthan lost against Lucknow Super Giants

RR began their pursuit of 181 points with Yashasvi Jaiswal (74) and the beginner IPL Vaibhav Suryavanshi (34) adding an 85 -point partnership in just 8.4 Overs. RR only needed 25 points from the last three Overs, with eight seeks in hand. It seemed that an easy victory was on the cards.

However, Avesh Khan de LSG turned the game with his bowling alley. He withdrew Jaiswal and Riyan Parag in the 18th, conceding only five points.

With nine necessary for the final, the DHRUV jurel of Rajasthan Royals and Shimron Hetmyer were in the fold. Avesh Khan rejected Hetmyer on the third ball of the end. RR now needed six three -ball points, but could only manage three.
