  1. I’m sure this game will be just as “pivotal” as the last five “must-win” matches that somehow didn’t actually change anything. But hey, at least the commentators will pretend it matters while both teams pass backwards for 90 minutes.

  2. So excited for this one!! Two great teams giving everything for playoff push. This is what soccer is all about – passion, determination, and fighting till the end! Good luck to both sides!!

  3. Red Bulls have this easy. Fire’s away record is terrible – like 2 wins in 12 games or something? Plus their starting keeper is injured. Bulls by 2 goals minimum, maybe more if Fire defense collapse like usual.

  4. This matchup really comes down to midfield battle. If Fire can neutralize Red Bulls pressing game through middle, they got real shot. But Bulls transition defense been solid lately so Fire need quick counter attacks to exploit any spaces.

  5. why everyone ignore the referee assignment?? Last three games with this ref, Red Bulls got 2 penalties and Fire got none. Something fishy going on if you ask me

  6. Everyone saying Fire has momentum but did you even WATCH their last game?? They barely scraped by against worst team in conference. Red Bulls have way better midfield control and their striker form is miles ahead. Not even close comparison

  7. For those who dont follow closely: Red Bulls currently sitting 4th in East with 42 points, Fire are 6th with 38. Winner likely securing playoff spot with only 5 games remaining. Historical h2h favors Bulls 12-8-4 but Fire won last three meetings including that 3-1 thrashing in July.

  8. Honestly both coaches should be fired after this season lol. The tactical decisions been horrible from both sides. How you gonna have talented rosters and still play boring football?? My local high school team more exciting to watch

  9. Pivotal? Really?? Both teams are mediocre at best this year. Fire cant score to save there lives and Red Bulls just got lucky few games. Eastern Conference is joke compared to West anyway.

  10. Finally someone talking bout this! The Red Bulls defense been shaky all season and now they facing Fire who’s on fire lately. This gonna be intresting match for sure.

  11. “Affaire”? What is this, French soccer journalism now? Maybe next you’ll tell us about the “bon match” and “magnifique goals.” Just call it what it is – a game where both teams will probably disappoint their fans yet again.

  12. Oh yes, truly a “pivotal affaire” indeed. Nothing says critical Eastern Conference showdown quite like two teams fighting desperately for the honor of getting eliminated in the first playoff round. Riveting stuff.
